Stress & Trauma Specialists

Traumatic life events can manifest themselves in many ways and they can affect your body, mind, sense of self and your personality. Reactions to trauma often occur shortly after experiencing a traumatic event but they can also lay dormant and emerge weeks, months, or even years, later. Reactions to Trauma can include repeated intrusive memories, thoughts and perceptions. Avoidance Reactions are also common, such as striving to avoid people, situations, activities, conversations or objects related to the traumatic event. Negative changes in mood and thought patterns often occur. A persistent nervous or anxious energy with an inability to concentrate can be another result of dealing with a traumatic event.

Indications of Trauma and PTSD

We have been specialising in helping clients overcome stress and trauma related illness for many years. Dr Claudia Herbert is an internationally renowned pioneer in the field of trauma psychology, having written many books and delivered talks and workshops on the subject. Our approach to therapy at The Cotswold Centre For Trauma Healing uses our team’s collective experience within the field of trauma therapy and facilitates a compassionate and empowering recovery from stress, trauma and PTSD
